"Wine on the Water": Marrakech Wine Tasting Fundraiser to be Toast of the Town

Proceeds to Benefit Unfunded and Underfunded Marrakech Programs

Woodbridge, CT - The scenic Connecticut shoreline will be the backdrop for this year's Marrakech Wine Tasting, a fundraiser to benefit Marrakech, Inc., a non-profit organization that provides a wide range of educational, employment and housing programs and services to children and adults throughout Connecticut. All proceeds from this event will benefit Marrakech's unfunded and underfunded programs.

The Marrakech Wine Tasting event, hosted by The Wine Thief of New Haven, will be held on Friday, March 9 from 6:00 pm to 8 pm at Savin Rock Conference Center located at 6 Rock Street in West Haven. The Savin Rock Conference Center is located next to Jimmies of Savin Rock on Captain Thomas Boulevard.

Wine enthusiasts will be able to taste over 15 different varieties of wines from France, Spain, Portugal, and South America, all of which will be selected by The Wine Thief. Guests will enjoy a variety of hors d'oeuvres from over 10 area restaurants.

"The Marrakech Wine Tasting event continues to be a special evening for the community to come together in a 'spirited' way in support of the vital programs and services that Marrakech provides each year," said Frank McCarthy, executive director, Marrakech, Inc. "This year, we are excited to have 10 local restaurants participate, as this will enable guests to experience a wonderful selection of some of the finest wine and food available in the greater New Haven area all at once."

Marrakech Wine Tasting tickets are $35. Attendees can pick up their reserved tickets at the door the evening of the event. Non-reserved, walk-in ticket prices are $40 and can be purchased at the door.
